A leading financial institution is seeking a senior accountant to join their Hampton Roads team. This position will support the CFO for all financial matters. Typical duties include oversight of monthly general ledger reconciliations, interaction with all levels of the organization and other professionals to convey financial information, research and presentations for due diligence, and other special projects as assigned. The candidate must have a CPA, bachelors degree in accounting, 5+ years of full general ledger accounting experience, strong tax and audit experience preferably in a public accounting setting, knowledge of SEC reporting requirements, superior computer skills, experience with business plans and mergers and acquisitions, and the desire interaction with many people and coordination several projects at once.
