Senior Accountant
Senior Accountant
Description:
Our customer is looking for a Senior Level Accountant to join their team. The Sr. Accountant maintains accounting records in strict accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Ensures record systems are maintained in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards and ensures adherence to state and federal policies, procedures, and regulations. May manage tax-reporting requirements for Ascension. Oversees one or more key segments of accounting such as cash, inventory, receivables, foundation accounting, fixed assets, leases and other debt instruments. Oversees maintenance of general ledgers; prepares department, divisional and consolidated operating and financial statements. May oversee staff accountants who are performing similar duties under general guidance of a more experienced senior accountant.
Requirements:
This position requires that the individual has:
A Bachelors degree in accounting and/or Finance
4 years of accounting experience. Preferably 6 years with 2 years in the healthcare area.
Preferred CPA or CMA
Experience with GAAP Accounting Principals
Preferred experience with Meditech, Hyperion Enterprise, Access or other database reporting
VOLT in an EOE Employer
Location: Tucson, AZ
