Primary Responsibilities:


  • Maintains general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports 

  • Performs account reconciliations and analyses, prepares journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles

  • Analyzes and prepares financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position

  • Involved in the monthly/quarterly 'close' process 

  • Prepares documentation in support of external and internal audits

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, required

  • 3 years - Strong working knowledge and experience in public and/or private accounting

  • 3 years - Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas:  financial statements, journal entries and analysis

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Experience in a corporate environment, preferred

  • CPA certification, preferred

  • Healthcare or insurance industry experience

  • Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements

  • Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems

  • Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
