Primary Responsibilities:
- Maintains general ledger accounts and related activities for the production of financial statements and reports
- Performs account reconciliations and analyses, prepares journal entries and reviews accounting classifications, in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
- Analyzes and prepares financial statements, including balance sheets and statements of financial position
- Involved in the monthly/quarterly 'close' process
- Prepares documentation in support of external and internal audits

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, required
- 3 years - Strong working knowledge and experience in public and/or private accounting
- 3 years - Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: financial statements, journal entries and analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Experience in a corporate environment, preferred
- CPA certification, preferred
- Healthcare or insurance industry experience
- Assesses and interprets customer needs and requirements
- Identifies solutions to non-standard requests and problems
- Solves moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
