Robert Half Finance and Accounting has partnered with a very profitable Fortune 250 company to recruit 2 Senior Accountants supporting Payroll Accounting. These roles serve as a financial and accounting resource for the Corporation's centralized Accounting, Reporting and Control department. The position provides accounting, analysis, and support related to centralized Corporate and other subsidiary's payroll. Specifically, this position is responsible for: • Ensuring payroll journal entries are accurately recorded. • Completing account reconciliations and analysis for centralized payroll liabilities and/or payroll bank accounts on a monthly basis. • Developing documentation of the payroll and benefits processes to facilitate the assessment of the current procedures and systems. • Identifying and resolving payroll reconciling items. • Assisting in the implementation and leveraging of the GL module, including the centralization of certain payroll liabilities and/or payroll bank accounts. • Liaising between human resources, employee shared services, and field accounting teams on accounting reconciliation issues. • Special projects as identified.

To be considered the candidate must have an undergraduate degree (B.S. or equivalent) in Accounting with a minimum of 30 accounting hours; 3+ years of payroll accounting and relevant general ledger experience; knowledge and understanding of standard payroll practices and processes and knowledge of payroll automated systems.
