This is a Senior Accountant Position.  In order to be considered for this role, you must have Inventory experience and strong working knowledge of the Deltek Costpoint Materials Module.

Position Summary
Primary responsibility is accounting for inventory and fixed assets.

General Purpose
This position is responsible for proper accounting of fixed assets and inventory worldwide.

Position Responsibilities

• Review and post all inventory journals including issues, returns, quantity and price adjustments
  
• Reconcile physical inventories and inspections conducted by Logistics department
  
• Prepare monthly reconciliation of Inventory Stock Status to general ledger
  
• Review purchase requisitions related to inventory and fixed assets
  
• Review commitments report and work with Purchasing department to clear all aged items
  
• Prepare journal entry for monthly allocation of freight associated with inventory
  
• Maintain fixed asset module in Costpoint to include general ledger book and multiple tax books; record additions, disposals, transfers, etc.
  
• Calculate depreciation and reconcile subsidiary ledger to general ledger monthly
  
• Reconcile fixed assets to property record maintained by Logistics
  
• Research and provide recommendations for any asset issues/variances
  
• Maintain supporting documentation
  
• Prepare corporate property tax filings for all locations
  
• Provide required documentation in support of audits, reviews and income tax filings
  
• Provide advice and assistance regarding policies and procedures; research regulatory and/or generally accepted accounting issues
  
• Assist in other areas of general accounting as needed

Essential Skills and Experience
