Senior Accountant
There is an immediate need for a senior accountant in the Harrisburg area. This position will serve as a primary contact and finance leader for various business units and will have direct exposure to business unit managers. The person for this role will also get their hands involved in the forecasting and budgeting process as well. In addition, this job will be responsible for g/l accounting and the month-end close of one of the premiere companies in the Central PA area.
Responsibilities:
· Prepares income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements, and various other accounting statements and reports
· Analyzes financial reports and records
· Develops accounting schedules
· Prepares comparative internal financial statements and other financial reports
· Provides assistance with Sarbanes-Oxley initiatives as required and other duties as assigned
· Coordinates accounting matters with other departments and locations
Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
· 5-10 years experience in general accounting and/or comparable public accounting experience
· CPA preferred/expected.
