As a senior actuarial analyst on Humana's Part D team you will: use your analytical skills to recommend changes and improvements to Humana's current practices in the areas of product development, pricing, trend forecasting, and reporting. You will also assist members of the management team in the evaluation of business strategies from an actuarial and financial perspective.
- Evaluate and develop monthly financial projections.
- Analyze and project membership mix changes and consumer behavior.
- Develop and maintain models for member and population level outcomes analysis.
- Use business intelligence and domain expertise to project claims, discounts, risk scores, membership, admin, and rebates.
- Maintain a library of metrics, tools, methods, reports, results and recommendations.
- Participate in an integrated fashion with other areas of the Actuarial department.
- Maintain strong, working relationship with internal stakeholders
- Track cost and utilization statistics for Humana's member population, and data mining and modeling of new business insights.
- Work with personnel in the company-at-large and with outside business partners

Role Essentials
- Bachelor's Degree in Applied Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
- Advanced knowledge and experience with data analysis and reporting
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Access
Role Desirables
- Successful completion of 3-4 actuarial exams
- Working knowledge of SAS and Visual Basic
- Medicare Part D pricing
- Data Mining
Reporting Relationships
- You will report to an Actuarial Director. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
