In this important role you will:

·        Contribute directly to unit’s growth and profitability with extensive focus on business development activities for the relationship team

·        Work directly with our agricultural and rural commercial business clients to foster their relationship with Bank of the West and discover how we can best meet their financial needs

·        Develop bank profitability by generating loans, depository accounts and other profit generating services for our Agribusiness clients

·        Directly manage a portfolio of 15 or more clients, providing each one with a high quality level of service

·        Work in tandem with departments across our organization to promote the sale and implementation of complex financial products and services

·        Supervise a team of relationship managers to guarantee services and sales are being delivered to the best of our ability

This position requires:

·        Bachelor’s Degree

·        Master’s Degree preferred

·        Agribusiness degree preferred

·        Over fifteen years of experience

·        Agribusiness lending experience required

·        Demonstrated experience in heavy prospect business development and customer cross sell marketing

·        Thorough knowledge of commercial lending policies, procedures, practices and documentation including accounting, financial statement and cash flow analysis

·        Demonstrated experience in portfolio management and quality control

·        Geographic market knowledge preferable
