Due to continued successful project pursuits and further growth, one of our client companies is once again expanding to meet the demand for comprehensive airport engineering design services. We are conducting a search for an individual to join the team and work on some particularly exciting and prominent commercial airport development projects. The work will involve leadership and management of staff, projects, and participation in business development. Not only could your future include a chance to move up, but you'll find a corporate culture where you'll be allowed to excel to your maximum potential, develop and grow business, and of course be generously rewarded.
The firm has been designing a wide range of airport engineering projects in the United States for many years. They are established, successful, and growing, and now seek someone to be part of their growing aviation practice in the greater Washington area. To be considered, you'll need: - At least 10 years of experience designing and doing project management for airside engineering projects at airports
- Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer PE License in VA, MD, or DC, or the ability to obtain one within one year through reciprocity
- Thorough knowledge and recent experience with FAA requirements, practices, design criteria, and advisory circulars
- Demonstrable airport project experience designing airside features such as: runways, taxiways, aprons, geometric pavement design, airfield lighting, navigational aids, fueling systems, utility plans and hangars. Landside experience in parking or road projects may be helpful.
Other factors that will be considered include: - Preparation of plans, technical specifications, and project cost estimates for airport development projects
- Coordination with permitting agencies, project review, business development activities such as RFQ responses, client negotiations and presentations, industry involvement
- Working with sub consultants, project team members, and clients.
- Working with State Department of Transportation and municipal clients in the preparation of plans and specifications of airport development projects.
- business development experience
Here’s how to get started: - Send an e-mail to grice@mriraleigh.com with your RESUME and PROJECT LIST as MS Word format attachments. These confidential documents do not leave our office without your express permission.
- Your PROJECT LIST should have project dates and your role on the project. Make sure your airport projects are listed prominently.
- If you use 'Apply Online' to contact us, please be sure and send us the above information (word format resume and project list) as attachments.
- Thanks for your interest, and good luck!
If this sounds like a job you can do but the timing or geography isn't quite right, we encourage you to forward your information in confidence anyway, as other similar opportunities are constantly developing from our national aviation intelligence. We are helping clients for airport related opportunities all over the US and in some foreign countries. Confidentiality is assured. Our airport consulting practice is led by Mr. Grice Whiteley, whose information you may view here. You can link to Grice on Linked In.
