The Orlando office of PBS&J is seeking a Senior Architect with experience in Higher Education and Federal projects.
Under the general direction of a technical manager, provides technical expertise to diverse architectural projects throughout the region, district or company-wide. May function as lead architect or consultant.
- Defines scope of project, with full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating project assignments
- Selects problems for investigation, developing novel approaches and solutions to architectural problems in consultation with the director of Architecture.
- Conducts quality control checks, reviewing calculations, designs, specifications and construction documents for accuracy and completeness, and performing on-site inspections of projects under construction to ensure aesthetic value and quality construction.
- Plans and organizes the work of junior architects and technicians.
- Plans and organizes the CADD staff required for the project.
- Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Architecture with 10 years experience or a Masters Degree in Architecture and 9 years of experience.
Valid Florida AIA/NCARB registration is required
Qualified candidates will be LEED accredited
BIM proficiency a must.
Qualified candidates will have extensive experience with Higher Education and Federal projects.
