Senior Associate, Business Effectiveness
Do you have a passion for solving complex business problems? KPMG’s Advisory Services Practice focuses on fundamental business issues — managing risk, increasing revenues, controlling costs — that organizations, across various industries, should address in order to help them flourish. We are currently seeking Business Effectiveness Senior Associates to join us in our Tyson's Corner office focused on the Aerospace & Defense industry. KPMG’s Aerospace & Defense (A & D) professionals possess the extensive industry knowledge and experience necessary to stay ahead of the challenges affecting today’s aerospace and defense companies. Our leadership team averages over 25 years of experience, serving as former C-level executives with premier global aerospace and defense manufacturers, government contractors, service providers, IT and MRO companies. At KPMG, you will join one of the few professional services providers with a dedicated A & D segment of multidisciplinary advisors. Responsibilities: • Assist in client engagements and work streams for Aerospace & Defense or other diversified industrials procurement, manufacturing, and distribution clients • Assist in development of client value propositions that tie financial metrics and CFO focus areas directly to operations and supply chain business improvements and structure engagements that connect results directly to financial reporting results • Monitor and support progress against project milestones to help ensure timely delivery of project deliverables • Participate in development and publication of thought leadership and solution offerings • Assist partners and managers in the creation of proposals, other business development activities, and practice administration • Assist in motivating and developing other team members Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in finance, engineering, operations analysis, or related discipline from an accredited college/university • Experience in industrial or durable consumer goods manufacturing or supply chain management (procurement operations, global strategic sourcing) • Working understanding of financial reports, CFO metrics, and financial management processes for manufacturing and distribution companies • Understanding of operations and supply chain concepts required for business effectiveness in manufacturing and distribution environments • Participation in large scale change initiatives • Strong analytical skills • Solid presentation and facilitation skills • Understanding of Six Sigma and/or Lean Manufacturing processes and tools • Ability to travel, at times extensively KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
