Senior Associate, Federal IT Advisory Services
KPMG’s Advisory Services Practice is a recognized leader in providing services crucial to the federal government’s continuous and secure operations. Our professionals assist agencies in managing financial, informational, and operational risks, as well as providing performance improvement recommendations to improve agencies’ efficiency. We are currently seeking IT Advisory Senior Associates to join us in our Washington, DC office. IT Advisory professionals help align an organization’s information technology capabilities with the strategic and financial objectives of the organization. IT Advisory professionals help clients achieve improved performance from their IT investments, manage technology risks, and manage information more effectively to achieve business goals. We assist throughout the IT transformation lifecycle -- with strategy development and implementation, change management, performance measurement, and integrating sustainability and risk management into suggested technology solutions. Responsibilities: • Assist Federal agencies in transforming business processes and system capabilities to better meet agency and stakeholder needs. Responsibilities could include business process improvement, system requirements definition, system testing, performance metrics development, Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V), portfolio management support, supply chain support, enterprise architecture support, and/or program management • Serve as an on site client resource and support progress against project milestones to help ensure timely delivery of project deliverables • Regularly brief project activities through written and verbal presentations • Serve in a collaborative project role with both client and KPMG team members • Assist in the creation of proposals and other new business development efforts Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems and Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint • Five plus years of experience working in the Federal space; experience with a major advisory services or consulting firm preferred • Understanding of the Federal regulatory environment, including OMB Circulars, PART, FEA, etc • Demonstrated record of success assisting Federal agencies in transforming operations through program management or facilitation of improved business processes, internal controls, or system improvements (Lean Six Sigma process improvement) • Experience with process analysis and supporting documentation such as flowcharting (MS Visio preferred) • Experience with key Federal business processes, including financial, property management, acquisition, or mission systems • Ability to identify new service offering opportunities with prospective and existing clients • Ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance within a reasonable amount of time, including being subject to a security investigation and candidate may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information • Professional certification preferred (PMP, CGEIT, DAWIA, CPA, etc.) KPMG offers and supports flexible work arrangements as well as part-time schedules.
