We are currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our International Strategic Planning team at its Corporate Headquarters in El Segundo, CA. This role serves as the analytic and strategic backbone of Mattel's International division.
This position participates in and contribute directly to specific cross-company initiatives across a broad range of strategic, operational, and financial topics, intended to improve performance across brands and geographies. Work closely with Senior Managers and Vice Presidents within the Strategic Planning group on numerous international projects, often managing multiple projects / workstreams at one time. This is a high-profile position within a group with significant exposure to senior leadership both domestically and internationally .
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following areas:
-Work on key International strategic projects, including business and segment growth plans, merger and acquisition due diligence and post-merger implementation, retail and channel development strategies, organizational and process improvement restructuring, and market entry strategies, in order to drive top and bottom-line financial growth;
-Analyze Mattel's financial performance across brands and countries, identify issues and propose solutions;
-Analyze market dynamics and competitive structures in different categories across the world to identify and prioritize growth opportunities;
-Conduct assessments of key competitors to Mattel and assist in identifying and evaluating potential partnership and M&A opportunities;
-Work with external consultants or other Mattel groups to analyze and resolve specific issues;
-Prepare presentation materials to senior management (VP, SVP, CFO, and CEO level);
-Use analytical skills and judgment to solve problems with limited information at hand;
-Communicate complicated matters in a simple, structured way to senior management;
-Get work done through cooperation with other groups with no direct reporting relationship to position;
-Work under pressure, responding quickly to requests from management.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's, degree from a top-tier institution.
MBA strongly preferred.
A minimum of two (2) years post-graduate work experience within a management or strategy consulting firm, investment banking firm, or strategic planning/corporate development role desired.
International experience, consumer products or retail industry experience is a major plus.
