Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing the business needs of clients to help identify business problems and propose solutions. Responsibility includes analyze, communicate and validate requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems.

 

This position will report directly to the Director of Application Systems and will act as a valuable resource to the Company.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of a strategic plan for process improvement across the various organizations within the company
  • Consult and assist in process improvement, documentation with business users, including techniques such as Six Sigma
  • Through the analysis of business process, define requirements for process and system improvements
  • Communicates analysis and recommendations, system changes and issues to relevant users, stakeholders and management
  • Develop training documentation and conduct team and end-user training as required
  • Assist in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve business systems issues
  • Contribute to project estimating efforts - providing input/clarity on business requirements and options to implement those requirements
  • Identify and diagnose data quality or system deficiency issues and provide options for resolution
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems
  • Work in a team environment
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions
  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to system programmers
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, which include working with users and technical developers on creating robust test plans/conditions
  • Conduct research on hardware and software products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts
  • Participate in the management queues and prioritization of user requests
  • Contributes to effective project planning, participates in project implementation, ensuring adherence to quality, budget and schedule, relative to analyzing manufacturing operations 

 

Requirements:

  • BA/BS in Business, MIS or equivalent experience (Masters preferred)
  • Proven functional professional with at least two full lifecycle Tier 1 (Oracle, SAP, etc…) ERP implementations and 10+ years of large-scale ERP implementation experience more focused on manufacturing, inventory costing and materials planning modules.
  • Ability to collaborate with end users and have a strong desire to excel
  • Exceptional strategic, conceptual and analytical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal, team building skills and customer facing experience
  • Ability to think logically and analyze application and business process requirements and accurately convert them to design specifications
  • Strong problem solving and issue resolution experience is required
  • Ability to conceptualize processes
  • Able to write clear functional requirements to a level of detail that facilitates the development and implementation of system enhancements
  • Ability to create crisp outcomes and action plans from high-level, exploratory business strategy discussions
  • Ability to work in a team environment with developers and functional users
  • Able to foster a positive and constructive relationship with all levels of the company
  • Good understanding of process manufacturing and experience with best practices in systemizing the process a plus
  • APICS certification a plus
  • Adept at designing and implementing technology-enabled business solutions as part of a high performance team desired
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
