Senior Business Analyst

 
This position is for a lead Business Analyst role within the Enterprise Data Warehouse team at Zions Bancorporation. This role requires interfacing with business users and executives to define Business Intelligence reporting and analytic solutions and then communicating the scope and requirements to the development teams.  These solutions will support credit and financial analytics, regulatory reporting initiatives, or solutions for marketing and customer management.  The successful candidate will be responsible for specific business intelligence projects from gathering and defining the initial requirements through development and implementation. 
 


 
Required Skills: 

• Strong SQL background


• 4+ years working in a data warehouse/business intelligence environment


• Thorough understanding of relational and dimensional data models


• Experience with reporting and analytic tools - ie Business Objects, Cognos, Crystal Reports, OLAP, etc


• Strong data analysis skills - demonstrated ability to research data lineage and manage source-to-target mappings


• Strong business analysis skills - demonstrated ability to gather and communicate business requirements to technical teams.  Must be able to "bridge the gap" between business users and IT developers


• Must be able to work with little or no supervision 

• Experience working with formal project management methodologies or a project management certification


• Experience in banking or financial services


• Experience as a DBA or data warehouse developer


• Experience leading or directly managing other employees
