Wyle is currently searching for Business Development Manager to join their team in Huntsville, AL. This is an exciting opportunity to utilize your knowledge of the Army aviation community to build a team of qualified professionals to support the US Army and Wyle. This position supports marketing Wyle Acquisition Solutions Division offerings to the Department of Army’s Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) located at the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities will include market segmentation and analysis; capture planning including the development of capabilities matrices, teaming strategies, and customer call plans; proposal support; identification and recruiting of key hires; responses to sources sought and requests for information; and trade show support. The candidate will be responsible for developing and executing business development plans that support Acquisition Solutions Division’s strategic business goals. Education: A Bachelors degree, preferably in a relevant technical discipline is required. A Masters degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a relevant technical discipline is desired. Experience: Ten or more years of experience with the U.S. Army, as a service member, civil servant, or contractor, or a combination of two or more. At least three years experience in Army aviation, specifically with the Army’s Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM). Experience with and demonstrated success in business development activities related to Requirements Planning, Acquisition Management, Systems Engineering, Financial Management, Test and Evaluation, and/or Life Cycle Management at AMCOM is highly desired. Wyle will offer training in Business Development for the right candidate. Prior government proposal development experience is highly desired. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: A highly qualified candidate will have a thorough working knowledge of the AMCOM market including business contacts with both potential AMCOM government customers and the local Huntsville contractor community. The ability to operate independently with minimal direct day-to-day guidance is critical. The candidate will be expected to target specific business development opportunities that support overarching strategic business development goals.
