Senior Business Development Manager, Taos Industries
Taos Industries is focused on Procurement opportunities. Business areas include but are not limited to acquisition of non-standard military hardware, systems and spares in support of U.S. Government contracts; support to U.S. training ranges through the acquisition of non-standard material and spare parts; support; support to partner companies through the acquisition of military hardware and spares.
Summary
Responsible for business development for contract opportunities for Taos Industries. Develop strategy for engagement, coordinating and implementing business growth; plan, develop and implement annual business development plan; seek and establish business partnership with companies, establish business development targets to support annual business plan; lead, coach and mentor business development personnel to help them reach their targets; Coordinate with Program Managers to ensure successful transition of contracts; attend conferences to meet and learn the customer needs and identify potential partners; prepare reports that track our current and future business targets; coordinate proposal development and reviews; ensure operations are linked in proposal development; conduct market research to determine future needs; provide marketing material; maintain company web-site; prepare company marketing briefings; meet with current and potential customers to explain corporate capabilities. Knowledge of non-standard weapons, ammunition or systems is desired. Potential for domestic and international travel 50% of the time.

Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain client/partner relationships.
- Lead proposal development and conduct reviews prior to submission.
- Submit BD pipeline reports that detail current and future targets.
- Provide input to annual business plan.
- Coach, lead and mentor BD team to achieve their targets.
- Prepare and manage BD budget.
- Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
Mandatory Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Minimum
- Knowledgeable of U.S. DoD contracting process (not a FAR expert).
- Bachelor Degree required; Master’s Degree Preferred.
- Knowledgeable of corporate capture and proposal process.
- Prior military experience in logistics.
- Fluent in Ms Office suite and PC functions.
- Comfortable with significance business travel in the U.S., Europe, Pacific and the Middle East.
Desired
- Military service with 10 years of government experience.
- Ethics beyond reproach, effective public speaking and communication skills.
- Must be an effective coach, leader and mentor. Must be able to develop and maintain business unit budget.
