Senior Business Relations Manager 10-037

About the Job

The AS&E Business Relations and Contract Team is responsible for interacting with all functional areas (i.e. Sales, Finance, Product & Program Management, Field Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Science) to evaluate, develop, facilitate and negotiate US Government, international and commercial contracts.   This role also serves to handle the business of contracts as a keen understanding of legal contract terms, business risk, margins, timely revenue recognition, profitability, and ensuring the successful administrative and execution of contract performance.

 

Requirements:

 

  • BA/BS – MBA/ JD preferred
  • Candidate must possess excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Extensive experience with all matters involving international, commercial and US Gov’t contracts
  • Ability to draft i.e. contracts, agreements, modifications and customer correspondences
  • Extensive experience in negotiating business terms and contracts in high-pressure situations
  • Good working knowledge of GSA, FAR and DFAR and commercial contracting terms
  • Good working knowledge of  financial matters i.e. pricing, letters of credit, performance bonds, and payment structures
  • Good working knowledge of DOC and DOS exporting requirements
  • Experience with Sourcing matters i.e. supply, subcontract and teaming agreements and purchase orders
  • Experience with being an interactive resource to Sales, Finance,  Product & Program Management, Field Service, Engineering, Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Science
  • Demonstrated experience in liaising with customers and internal departments for matters affecting contracts, project or program, revenue recognition, margin analysis, and peripheral matters involving securing the contract
  • Candidate must enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that is deadline driven, detail oriented and must have the ability to handle many tasks and responsibilities simultaneously and to set priorities
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, and attention to detail skills are a necessity
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to travel
