Lantheus Medical Imaging (LMI) is a portfolio company of Avista Capital Partners with approximately 600MM in global revenue. LMI develops, manufactures, distributes, markets and sells nuclear and ultrasound imaging agents world wide. Principal products include Cardiolite, a cardiac perfusion imaging agent, Definity, an ultrasound contrast agent, and TechneLite Generators, which are utilized in connection with Cardiolite and other technetium based imaging agents. The company is headquartered in Billerica, MA, with other significant locations in Puerto Rico, Canada and Australia. In addition, the company distributes products through 3rd party distribution agreements and company owned radio pharmacies (principally located outside of the US).

In this role, the ideal candidate will have knowledge of non-invasive cardiovascular imaging including Nuclear Cardiology and myocardial perfusion imaging, Echocardiography and contrast imaging, related systems, equipment, clinical applications, cardiac anatomy and physiology. Ability to maintain, identify, and cultivate new and existing local champions, thought leaders, and market influencers within the Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology and Echocardiography communities. Ability to effectively utilize computers and software programs for communication, analysis, and presentation of information. Ability to deliver clear, concise, and relevant verbal and written information to a variety of audiences while taking accountability and working proactively with diverse personalities. Effective time management, self-motivation and enthusiasm. An understanding of Managed Care, GPO, IDN contracting, and the ability to utilize available tools to identify, qualify, and then maximize the business in the territory.

This position requires geographic coverage of Iowa. The candidate must reside within this territory.

Requirements include a BA/BS degree with pharmaceutical and/or radiopharmaceutical sales experience. Demonstrated skill in successfully achieving sales targets while operating within regulatory guidelines and budgetary constraints. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and to work under pressure. Previous position that has required analytical skills, selling skills and business acumen. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences. Demonstrate ability to work interdependently with a team. Working knowledge of the radiopharmaceutical industry including its distribution channels, the ultrasound industry and general experience in medical imaging preferred. PET knowledge a plus. Overnight travel based on business need.
