Job Description
Responsible for the development of the coronary artery imaging catheter. Works as a member of a team, develops, directs, and executes plans for the commercialization of catheter based products. Able to work independently to develop and execute plans for the commercialization of catheter based products.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Technology development, product design and development, risk analysis, test of materials or products, preparation of specifications, process capability studies, validations, process documentation (test methods and manufacturing procedures), research investigation (animal and clinical studies), and report preparation.
• May train and/or provide work direction to manufacturing operators, technicians and engineers.
• Develop new products, processes, and assembly equipment. Work with clinicians to identify customer needs.

 

Job Requirements
• Five years or more of medical device development experience
• BS in related engineering degree
• Able to play a lead role on the R&D team
• 3D CAD and Drafting (preferably SolidWorks Modeling)
• Developing coronary catheters within ISO quality systems
• Manufacturing process development, validations and qualifications
• Supporting clinical and preclinical trials
• Ability to build, test, and evaluate catheters
• Experience with plastic part design, materials, injection molding and extrusions is beneficial.
