We are seeking a Senior Chemist to join our Innovation group.  The primary responsibility of this position is to independently identify, explore and develop novel and innovative Hair Care and Personal Care products within the Innovation group at Avon Global R&D. The candidate will lead the formulation efforts to convert conceptual innovative ideas or technologies into actionable product prototypes that demonstrate unique and consumer perceivable benefits for hair care business. This includes hand-on formulation works on the bench, as well as leading the technical approaches on matrix project teams to achieve project goals.  This candidate is expected to operate independently or in a team environment by experimenting with unique raw materials, formulation approaches and processing techniques.  The candidate will also be responsible for planning and designing technical approaches of projects, setting up milestones, and driving projects to their completion.  It is expected that the candidate will have a broad breath of understanding of material trends in the Hair care category and other allied industries to drive innovative formulations into breakthrough products and be able to manage multiple projects.
