Investigate construction defect claims to determine liability. Monitor and negotiate claim settlements with insureds, claimants and attorneys. Responsible for litigation management for files of moderate to high complexity.

The successful candidate will have at least five years experience with working knowledge of general liability claims handling, strong written and verbal communication skills, initial claim review and coverage analysis, direct investigation and direction of competent independent adjusters, litigation management and monitoring of assigned attorney activities, monitoring and directing the litigation process, analyzing exposures and recommendation of reserves, claim evaluations and negotiations within assigned authority, mediation and trial attendance. This position requires a general background in commercial general liability coverage with a focus on construction defect and site liability issues plus a general working knowledge of Florida law, Florida case law. Prior litigation management is a positive.
