Summary/Overview
Responsible for several commercial programs written nationally through selected agents. Responsible for overall rating, policy issuance, coordination of incoming endorsement and cancellation requests, underwriting assistance and a variety of related functions. Adhere to all changes from compliance department in rules, forms and rate updates. Work closely with all levels of Management, internal departments, outside service providers, and satellite offices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Rate multiple lines of business for commercial risks including Property, General Liability, Workers Compensation, Inland Marine, Crime, Automobile and Umbrella.
- Manually rate multiple lines of business as necessary.
- Issue policies, notices of cancellations and all subsequent transactions associated with assigned programs.
- Coordinate and process a large volume of policy related transactions through multiple internal processing systems.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy with respect to all transaction types to avoid issues for Underwriting and Agents.
- Responsible for special projects and assignments involving department operations as assigned.
- Distribute policy transactions both internally and externally.
- Maintains inventory for program assignments, provides management with work status reports and adheres to compliance department rules, forms and rates updates.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: the requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- High school diploma
- 5 or more years in insurance; commercial line rating experience
- Working knowledge of underwriting manuals/guidelines, rating manuals, forms, and work flows for commercial lines business.
- Ability to coordinate and process a large volume of policy related transactions through multiple internal processing systems.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Competent in Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
- Competent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills; ability to multi-task
