Role Summary/Purpose
The Senior Compressor Airfoil Mechanical Design Engineer will provide technical leadership of assigned resources within Compressor Airfoils Center of Excellence (CoE) related to the design, analysis, test, entry into service and field support of compressor airfoils.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Set priorities within team to ensure meeting overall objectives of organization and business unit
  • Provide appropriate level of communication with internal and external customers on all technical issues associated with assigned hardware and resources
  • Leverage expertise and drive consistent best practices across Airfoils CoE, Advanced Technology Organization (ATO) and GE Infrastructure to improve engineering processes and product competitiveness with regard to airfoil mechanical design discipline
  • Participate as internal technical reviewer at all Peer and Formal Design Reviews
  • Utilize and assist with development of state of the art design tools and techniques in collaboration with GE Energy, GE Aviation and the Global Research Center

    Qualifications/Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering
  • Demonstrated core compressor airfoil mechanical design competencies supported by a minimum of 15 years engineering experience

    Additional Eligibility Qualifications
