Scope of this Position - This position handles a range of analysis and design work involving portal content use, findability, process improvement, asset management, systems support, production management, and program governance.
- In preparing for this position, the candidate will have worked as a consultant for a minimum of 5 -7 years or shown equivalent experience working business executives and high-level project sponsors.
- Role requires experience in large-scale content management—especially web content management—and web development.
- The role requires knowledge of enterprise portals, intranet, and/or extranet solutions and their value propositions, including Web 2.0 in the enterprise.
- The position reports to the Director of Information and Knowledge Management from a discipline perspective and the Project Manager from an engagement perspective.
Job Requirements - Develop and define content architectures for major enterprise portal projects
- Help clients plan portal production and maintenance efforts
- Analyze clients’ current-state systems and operations to determine scope of content and portal production efforts
- Show clients how to model their portal around business-content uses
- Collaborate with usability, business analysis and visual design disciplines to develop intuitive user interfaces that fulfill user needs and business objectives, with an eye towards optimal leveraging of content
- Advise on the use of content to enhance user experience and how to present and style portal content
- Write appropriate portal-side web content as required
- Interface with the client throughout the project to present, review and update all content-related materials
- Support communication needs within LDS: advise/mentor communication team members as necessary; provide consultation as needed to other LDS staff; provide content/editorial support for marketing and other LDS projects, as needed

- Provide project leadership that effects influence with clients, team members, stakeholders and LDS leadership for successful outcomes.
Education: - Minimum - B.A. degree in any humanities field or B.S. in Information Systems.
- Masters degree preferred, especially M.IS.
Location: Florham Park, NJ Travel: Travel to client sites expected (approximately 30%), trade shows and sales prospects as needed.
