Senior Consultant - Process Improvement & Quality

About the Job

Technical Management Services, LLC is seeking a team-oriented, highly motivated Industrial Engineer or Quality Engineer to serve one of our federal government clients in the metropolitan Washington DC area.

 

The candidate shall provide comprehensive program management support consultant services and assist government staff in the development, validation, revision, and implementation of policies, procedures, plans, documents and checklists necessary for the effective functioning of multiple projects. The candidate shall develop business improvement opportunities and cost saving strategies to support best business practices. In addition, the candidate will assist in developing program strategies, and coordinating their execution while ensuring that the requisite tools and techniques are available to support the necessary activities.  Finally the candidate will target areas for improvement; provide strategic and tactical recommendations and implement decisions for transforming operations through process documentation, communications and information technology

 

The ideal candidate will have the following background:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Analysis, Quality Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience as an industrial engineer, operations/business analyst or consultant
  • Minimum 3 years plus of experience related to serving government clients
  • A strong theoretical and working knowledge of process design and quality measurement
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as computer proficiency including MS Office Suite, particularly MS Access.
  • Proficient analytical and problem solving skills
  • Capable of collecting, assimilating and validating relevant business/operating information
  • Proficient in training and coaching managers in an office environment
  • Competent in economic evaluation and justification
  • Comfortable working in a team environment, displays a customer-focused approach, seeks continuous improvement in serving internal and external customers.

 

The following candidate experience is highly desired:

  • Working knowledge of federal government procurement policy and procedures
  • Experience and expertise with federal government systems of records (records management)
  • Project management experience
  • Commercial Services Management experience
  • Professional Training experience
