Seattle Genetics is looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join the Finance Team.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibility for product cost accounting in accordance with GAAP.
  
• Act as finance liaison with Technical Operations, QA/QC, commercial operations and other relevant groups to ensure accurate tracking and control of inventory.
  
• Work with our selected 3PL provider to integrate our systems with theirs and ensure timely and accurate reporting of product movement and sales activity.
  
• Preparation/review of journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis.
  
• Tax reporting in all required states, including payroll taxes, state sales and use tax
  
• Annual state income tax filings where required, including interim estimates of estimated tax.
  
• Draft customer credit and collection policies and procedures.
  
• Active participation in inventory/manufacturing systems implementation and ongoing maintenance. 
  
• This position is not supervisory at this point, but could be based on growth in this area.
  
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Accounting required.


• Three or more years of progressive cost accounting experience in a manufacturing or virtual manufacturing environment required.


• General accounting experience required.


• Experience working with Great Plains or other middle-market accounting software a plus.


• Knowledge of multi-state taxes a plus.


• Bioscience industry experience a plus.


• Experience with credit/collections a plus.


• Some weekend and after hours work will be required as needed.
