The Sr. Cost Accountant position will perform cost accounting duties under the direction of the Corporate Cost Manager. The general function of this position will be to analyze standard costs and variances for manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Cost Accounting Manager to analyze standard costs.
- Review and revise Bills of Material as appropriate.
- Review/analyze monthly plant variances.
- Manage cycle count and physical inventory activities for the plant.
- Prepare month end journal entries.
- Prepare various plant reports for the monthly financial package.
- Assist Cost Manager and Plant Manager on various projects.
BA in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum 4-5 years cost experience in a manufacturing environment.
Standard cost experience.
JDE or similar background is a plus.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as Cost Manager will not be on-site.
