Senior Credit/Risk Executive--Fortune 500 Corporation—Salt Lake City-Based

Job Purpose: Lead Risk Management team with broad responsibilities for Credit Policy,, New Deals, and Credit Costs for our $22B Portfolio. This role reports directly to the CRO of the Bank and has Bank oversight responsibilities for our diverse Card (Private Label / Dual Card) and Sales Finance (Revolving / Secured Installment) US Consumer Assets. This significant business impact leadership role interacts with the Senior Leadership teams across numerous departments.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate Risk related activities with SF, RCF, and other functional teams across the company.
  • Manage Credit Policy and the Policy 6.0 (Risk Oversight)
  • Coordinating all Risk Related Regulatory responsibilities internally & with Regulatory Agencies (OTS etc) 
  • Manage New Deal Risk Process
  • Manage Reserve Process, Policy and Planning 
  • Manage Credit Cost Planning and Quarterly Forecasting Process 
  • Partner with the leadership team, Risk, Finance and Collections to enhance Reserve & Forecasting infrastructure to reduce volatility and streamline process with detailed trended dashboards on the key loss and reserve drivers
  • Partner with Controllership to ensure the quarterly close process results in adequate and appropriate reserve coverage 
  • Manage and develop risk analyst responsible for all risk reporting and analysis.

 

Qualifications/Degree of Experience:

  • You MUST be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act
  • 7+ years of previous Consumer Risk Management experience with 2+ years of Regulatory Risk coordination
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication presentation skills across all levels of the organization 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to understand and analyze impacts on credit lifecycle changes
  • Proven Leadership skills managing a direct and indirect risk team across a matrixed organization
  • Proven record of achieving business results from both and individual and team     perspective
  • Strong multi-tasking project management skills and established track record of driving process improvement projects in a dynamic environment
  • Proven decision making skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal & influencing skills
  • Strong technical skills required (Power Point, Excel etc)
  • Green Belt or Black Belt certification, desired
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, Master's degree desired
  • Risk knowledge of the Private Label Credit Card & Consumer Sales Finance Business strongly preferred
