We currently have an opening for a senior-level database administrator to work on a program supporting the Department of Defense
Responsibilities:
- DB administration (SQL Server)
- Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server RDBMS Systems
- Backup/Restore of environments
- Systems configuration and maintenance
- Document Standards and Procedures
- Performance tuning support
- Maintenance and troubleshooting support
Minimum Requirements:
- 7+ years experience as an SQL Server DBA, have work experience with SQL Server 2005
- Must be proficient with TSQL
- Must be able to perform all DBA tasks (i.e. database creation, refreshes, tuning, reorganization, backup/restore, troubleshooting, maintenance)
- Must be able troubleshoot issues at different levels including database, application, and system level (I/O, CPU, memory, etc.)
- Must have understanding and working experience with SQL Server Reporting Services
- Must be able to detail a logical and physical data model
- Have experience supporting and maintaining a production and test environment
- Good writing and communication skills; experience with documenting a data dictionary
Desired Requirements:
- System administration skills on Win2003
- Proven SQL Server DBA experience with minimum 7+ years
- SQL Server experience to include SQL2000/2005, Reporting Services, Analytical Services
MCDBA certification (recommended)
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic and fast paced environment
- Secret clearance
