We currently have a need for an experienced and talented DBA to perform Infrastructure and Application Database Administration of Hallmark Insights’ SQL Server and Oracle databases.

Responsibilities include:
- Manage and support all SQL Server and Oracle databases in development, testing, pre-production, and production environments. Future development will be in SQL.
- Implement and/or administer database-related strategies and processes involving:
o Access Methods/System Integration
o Device Allocation/Backups
o Security/Access Controls
o Information Classification/Information Lifecycle Management
o High Availability/Business Continuity Planning/Disaster Recovery
o Capacity Planning/Performance Management
o Configuration Management/Change Management - Collaborate in the design and implementation of database systems and programs, such as segregated repositories for transactional vs. reporting data
- Establish and promote best practices relating to database utilization and management
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to databases
- Mentor and cross-train other team members in pertinent areas of database administration
Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years related experience
o 4+ years of SQL Server DBA experience
o 4+ years of Oracle DBA experience
- Expert knowledge of database platforms and database programming languages and tools
- Expert knowledge in access methods, device allocation, & data security principles/standards
- Knowledge of enterprise data architecture principles and data modeling
- Knowledge of database trends and administration methods
- Experience with Red Hat Enterprise or other Linux Operating systems
- Experience with SQL Reporting Services and/or SQL Integration Services
- Experience with schema comparison tools such as DB Ghost
- Proven ability to efficiently troubleshoot and resolve database issues
- Willingness to work off-hours as production or major release needs dictate
