Senior Design Engineer

We are working an exclusive search for an excellent client of ours. They are a Fortune 250 client, that has produced over 500 million dollars in profit the first half of their fiscal year.

Key parts of the role are listed below:

1. Act as mechanical design leader for development of new & innovative products.
2. Create relationships with various industry groups and represent the company as a technical leader.
3. Interface with customers to explain technical aspects of products, answer technical questions, and translate customer needs into products & product features
4. Responsible for design, build, and test of prototypes.
5. Act as technical expert for company and industry products.
6. Interface with marketing to translate VOC into products that meet target functional requirements & cost.
7. Ability to organize and direct a cross-functional team and manage projects from development handoff through production launch.
8. Maintain positive and effective working relationships with all team members.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE

 BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering required, MS Mechanical Engineering preferred.
 7-12 years of experience in product design & development required.
 Experience in machine design required
 Demonstrated CAD experience required, Pro/E preferred
 Hands on experience with prototypes. Knowledge of various manufacturing processes including but not limited to pneumatics, metals, metal forming, welding, & plastics
