Sr. Developer

Job Responsibilities:

Will serve as a Mid-Senior level Developer within the firm’s Web Development department reporting into the Senior Director/Webmaster.  Will take part in new development initiatives, maintenance and support of the firms E-Commerce, Internet, and Intranet applications.  These development initiatives will consist on an effort of improving the volume or quality of traffic to the firm's web site from search engines.  Will have an opportunity to learn and incorporate Search Engine Optimization tactics in the website design.  Responsible for meeting with users to gather requirements, documentation of functional/technical specifications, analysis, design, development, and implementation using MS VisualStudio.NET v3.5, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, VBScript, XML, AJAX, and SEO.  Most of the systems are .NET architecture, but one systems is Java/J2EE based, so this candidate will also get the opportunity to learn Java/J2EE technologies.

Requirements:

Must have 3-7 years of Web Development experience.  Requires 3-5 years of .NET development experience using C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, VBScript, and HTML/DHTML.

Requires 2-4 years of XML experience, with AJAX experience strongly preferred.  The ideal candidate will have knowledge of or experience in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) website design concepts.  Any Java/J2EE development experience would be considered a plus.
