The Senior Director, Human Relations will direct the implementation of HR processes and programs throughout Mylan Pharmaceuticals, develop and maintain strategic partnership with all levels of management, and align the HR initiatives with strategic business goals to ensure superior organizational performance.  Job functions are performed in accordance with local, state and federal guidelines. 

 

In this dynamic role, the Senior Director, Human Relations will:

 

·         Under the direction of the Vice President of North America Human Relations, implement an HR operation strategy, with significant organizational and talent elements for the MPI (Mylan Pharmaceuticals Inc.) Entity; 

 

·         Accelerate the implementation of HR processes which will address performance management, reward and recognition solutions, HRIS, metrics and reporting, policy and procedures, and training and development activities for the MPI Entity;

 

·         Ensure MPI is in compliance with all applicable laws within and without relating to fair employment practices, employment laws, SOX, and employee relations;

 

·         Participate in organization-wide reengineering initiatives and oversee HR activities to support reengineering efforts at MPI;

 

·         Provide strategic consultation regarding integrating value-added HR initiatives with business objectives and guiding principles;

 

·         Analyze situations and issues, recognize strategic implications, and apply both specialized experience and a broader HR knowledge framework to define problems, priorities and desired outcomes;

 

·         Ensure the appropriate level of service is provided by HR staff for each business segment and evaluate the performance of HR service delivery against needs of individual business segments;

 

·         Act as a change agent to promote innovation and continual improvement;

 

·         Provide high-level labor relations oversight.  This includes:  Prepare for contract negotiations, discuss issues with union representatives, interpret union contract for management, represent management and lead discussions during grievance meetings, provide input and/or advice to management and employees during the grievance process.

 

The successful candidate in this role will have a minimum of 10-15 years of experience with a  BS in Business (Human Resources preferred), with 5-7 years of HR leadership experience. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.  Labor Relations experience is preferred.

 

Candidates must possess knowledge of HR processes, procedures, and practices, as applicable to a manufacturing facility.
