Senior Director of Direct Marketing/Online Advertising DESCRIPTION: Travelocity is hiring a senior Marketing professional to oversee all of Travelocity's direct marketing programs. This will include paid marketing channels, internal direct channels like email and site optimization, and customer loyalty efforts. The role will be responsible for optimizing our direct marketing spend across all channels both within each channel and in terms of how channels work together. Specifically, this role will be responsible for managing the following areas: 1) Paid Search Advertising 2) Online Advertising including display and performance advertising 3) Email Program 4) Emerging channels: Mobile and Social Media 5) Customer value and loyalty: manage customer segmentation and optimize the value of customers with initiatives like loyalty and credit card programs
EDUCATION: Bachelor degree required. MBA preferred. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 12 years of marketing experience in direct marketing with minimum of 6 years experience in online marketing. Candidate needs to have extensive hands on experience in running and growing campaigns in Paid Search, Email, and Online Advertising. Experience running direct marketing budgets at mid to large sized companies and demonstrated track record of being able to profitably grow and scale direct channels. Qualifications: - Experience managing direct marketing agencies
- Minimum of 6 years of management experience in directly managing a team of at least 4 directs.
- Outstanding analytical skills, proficiency in evaluating different spend opportunities across channels
- Extensive experience in managing direct media channels including Search and all aspects of Online Advertising
- Experience running email programs and developing strategies to optimize customer lifetime value.
- Experience in optimizing site real estate using A/B and multivariate testing
- Experience developing customer loyalty programs
- Excellent collaboration, interpersonal and project management skills.
