Description:


 


This position will serve as Senior Down Hole Tool Engineer in the Integration Group.  This person will lead the effort and project for WGESP for development and improvement in our down hole gauges to meet customer expectations.  They will manage the projects interfacing with operations to establish requirements for projects as well as see the implementation of these projects to meet requirements and schedules.  This will include being responsible for managing the product development or improvements to the down hole tool to meet company objectives.  This position will report to Manager of Integration Department and be located in Wood Group ESP corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK.


 


Position Summary:


 


The down hole tool is used to gather down well data and transmit it to the surface across the power cable where at that surface the information is displayed in engineering units.  The following will outline responsibilities of the position as a minimum.


 



  1. Project manage down hole tool project both from budget and schedule aspect.

 



  1. Focus direction on achieving projects in established timeframes and on budget to support company requirements.

 



  1. Be responsible for down hole tool design and manufacturing by the company to achieve performance and cost targets.

 



  1. Develop proper design and project proof testing program for establishing performance of the down hole in comparison to competition.

 



  1. Lead the effort to establish overall direction for product improvement and cost reductions on the product both in design and manufacturing.

 



  1. Be responsible for proper analysis of field failure units and corrective action to eliminate field failures in a timely manner.

 



  1. Work with other departments in the company to ensure successful integration of down hole tool product company plan.

 



  1. Must be able to interface with supporting staff, work with operations to help establish performance and project definitions.

 


 


Position Requirement:


 


The following will summarize minimum requirements for the position of Senior Engineer for Down Hole Tool in the Integration/Automation Department.


 



  1. This position will be located in Oklahoma City, OK.

 



  1. Must have a minimum of 5 years experience in managing and responsibility for engineering projects and integration projects.

 



  1. Experience in down hole tools or related experience would be considered a plus.

 



  1. Must be able to demonstrate field project experience for project success.

 



  1. Must have past experience being responsible for major company product in related area.

 



  1. Must have technical degree from University, preferred in Electrical Engineering, or related field.  Must have BS degree as minimum.

  2. Must be up to date on the latest integration/automation technology to keep the company abreast of the latest technology to meet customer requirements.

 


Detailed Requirements & Expectations:


 


The following will outline some detailed requirements and expectations from this position.


 


1.       This position will be expected to generate as a minimum monthly detailed reports summarizing projects and accomplishments for active projects.


 


2.       This position will directly interface with operations personal to help assist in establishing project requirements.


 


3.       This position will interface directly with customers in support of operations to help successfully achieve projects.


 


4.       This position will be responsible for helping to establish new control products specifications and the design of the control products as approved by the company.


 


5.       This position will interface with international customers and must be able to clearly express and communicate product information.


 


6.       Must be able to establish and develop fully functional specification for bids and interface with customers.


 


7.       Must be willing and able to use off the shelf technology and/or as well as in house developed technology to meet customer specifications to provide the most cost effective solution.


 


8.       Will be responsible for the development and growth of this product.


 


9.       Will interface with all other aspects of company to ensure proper system product integration in the company successfully.


 


10.    Must be willing to take on full responsibility for success, improvement and growth of this product.


 


11.    Will require both domestic and international travel to support the product.
