Key Responsibilities

·   Perform electrical engineering design for a variety of projects including building design, industrial facility design, and environmental/wastewater design.

·   Design power distribution systems including emergency generator interconnections and alternative power installations.

·   Design process controls including, development of P&ID’s, specify equipment and coordination with multiple disciplines on process systems.

·   Perform site evaluations and determine corrective actions.

·   Estimate constructions costs and design level efforts for projects.

·   Perform lighting and power evaluations and recommended repairs and upgrades centered on energy efficiency.

·   Develop and maintain accurate and current documentation of engineering assignments.

Basic/Required Qualifications

·   BS degree in Electrical Engineering.

·   PE required.

·   8 – 10 +years experience in electrical engineering design, including building design, industrial facility design, and/or environmental/wastewater design.

·   Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

·   Able to work on multiple projects for multiple supervisors at one time.

·   Very strong electrical designer for a variety of assignments: controls, PI&D, power loads, emergency generators, UPS, process controls, motor operated valves, flow meters, telemetry, pressure/temperature transmitters.

·   Familiar with switchgear design, electrical design for mechanical building systems, and knowledge of building security systems would be a plus.

·   Familiarity with environmental remediation processes a plus.

·   Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy

·   Travel to job sites will be required.

Preferred Qualifications

·   Experience with instrumentation, PLCs, HMI systems, and control systems design.

·   LEED Accreditation considered an asset.
