Senior Engineer – .NET – ASP.NET – C#

The Senior Engineer serves as a design and development resource working on the company’s editorial system.  This system supports the company’s editorial staff responsible for creation and maintenance of UpToDate clinical decision support content, which is in the process of being rewritten using the Microsoft stack of applications and software.

Responsibilities:

• Bug fixes to modules of major application.


• Design and develop modules of larger application


• Unit testing, integration with other system modules.


• Participate in architecture decisions


• Work with users at various levels of the Editorial and Technology organizations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)


• 5+ years experience

·        5+ years in web application software development

·        5+ years C# and ASP.NET

·        3+ years Microsoft Visual Studio .Net 2005/2008

·        5+ years in HTML/DHTML/JavaScript/XML/AJAX

·        3+ years VSTO Word Add-in

·        3+ years MS SQL Server 2005

·        3+ years ADO.net and Microsoft Enterprise Library

·        2+ years SharePoint Office Server 2007

·        Good understanding of Object-Oriented design and development

·        Solid foundation in common design patterns
