Senior Engineer - Engine Controls Technology Development

John Deere Power Systems is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead Technology Development Process (TDP) work on engine electronics/control systems. In this position, you will: - Interface with the engine and after treatment TDP teams to provide controls and electronics support as appropriate for their projects.
- Interface with the enterprise electronics TDP initiatives to help guide these activities.
- Work with suppliers and other institutions to identify and develop new technologies that can improve robustness of our control systems, provide better integration with our vehicle partners, and help to address future regulatory requirements.
- Conduct TDP on the electronics and controls associated with alternative power plants as appropriate.

| | Qualifications | Education Required Skills and Experience - 5 or more years of experience with engine control systems design, development, and applications.
- Experience with development of advanced engine control algorithms and systems.
- Experience in working with electronic control system calibration.
Desired Skills and Experience - Experience with application of advanced controls methods.
- Experience with diesel engines and engine systems.
- Experience with off road vehicles and applications.
- Experience with vehicle electronic system integration.
- Experience with developing proposals and guiding research projects.
