Senior Engineer

UniversalPegasus is seeking a strong Senior Engineer to support the Power Division.  (This position will be located in Lakewood, Colorado.)   The successful candidate will have 3 to 5 years experience preparing and developing engineering deliverables for electric substations projects and or electrical studies

Essential responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:

·         Preparing proposal, preliminary and engineering construction drawings.

·         Preparing and developing engineering deliverables for electric substations projects and or electrical studies – including but not limited to: one-lines, three-lines, AC schematics, DC Schematics, grounding, conduit, bill of materials, lightning protection, relaying, protection and controls, wiring, equipment specifications.

·         Moderate travel in the U.S required.

Educational and Work Experience Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

·         Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (preferred).

·         3 to 5 years of relevant engineering design experience.

·         3 to 5 years experience working for a U.S. electric utility company and/or an EPC firm designing transmission lines.

·         Detailed knowledge of NESC code requirements.

·         Experience with SKM, Milsoft, Aspen OneLiner and SES a plus.

Special Qualifications (Training, Technical skills, etc.):

·         A strong technical background is a plus.

·         Strong communication skills in writing, speaking and listening.

·         Ability to work in a very project oriented culture.

·         Strong project execution focus.
