My client has asked our firm to help them locate a “quality” Senior Estimator to their team.  This client company prides itself in being a quality player in the industry and is very well respected.  My client works with both, small, and large scale projects that involve DRYWALL estimates from a few hundred thousand to multi-million dollar giants.  This position will require a person to live in the Chicago region, and hopefully has existing “ties” to the region already established due to the benefit of client relations and comfort.  All inquiries will be kept in confidence & a phone call is more then welcome before sending a resume.

Job Duties:

    You will have the opportunity to develop and negotiate acute, competitive proposals

    Maintain blueprints, materials, and other pertinent information regarding the bidded projects

    Provide complete and accurate take-offs

    Determine and write the scope of work for each project

    Provide complete estimates in proposal forms, and assessing labor requirements

    Develop materials budgets

   Attend field walks, and review budgets to verify accuracy of bills of materials and labor requirements

    Prepare complete labor and material estimates

   Maintain relationships with current clients

    Correlate activities with other team members involved on the projects

    Maintain our policy in strong customer service and integrity

Job Requirements: (Minimum)

·         Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Equivalent.

·         Individuals must have 10 + years of experience in Drywall Estimating.

• A proven track record in Estimating Commercial work that involves projects with floors exceeding 30 levels above ground minimum.

·         Qualified individuals must be able to travel to the project sites.

·         Candidates must have the ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

·         Applicants must have good verbal and written communication skills.

·         Must have excellent time management skills.

·         Qualified applicants must have excellent computer software knowledge with Quickbid.

Salary:

$70k-$100k+ depending on experience
