JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Senior Field Engineer (Electrical)

Reports to: Managing Director, Engineering Director

Summary of Position

This is a ‘Road Warrior position’ requiring 75-80% travel, mostly in the US .  Responsible for field engineering on revamp projects and servicing automation systems in rolling mills.

Duties and Responsibilities

-          Collecting and analyzing data/drawings onsite from customers

-          Advising on electrical installations

-          Providing classroom and hands-on training

-          Attending project meetings, asking and answering questions about the project with the customer

-           Working on commissioning teams

-           Programming and modifying PLC and HMI software

Requirements:

-          Willingness to travel to customer sites, as required

-          Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience

-          Ability to speak Spanish, Italian or Portuguese, Spanish preferred

-          Experience with PLC programming, HMI programming, AC and DC motors and drives in an industrial environment (Preferably metals rolling)

Recommended Qualities

-          Motivated worker accustomed to little supervision - ‘Get it Done’ attitude

-          Experience in customer interaction

-          Experience with ABB or Siemens hardware

-          Experience in long product rolling mills
