Our client, a world class manufacturer is seeking a highly skilled Senior-level Finance Manager responsible for all North American finance and accounting functions. Essential Responsibilities:
· Direct the completion of month end close processes including internal and external financial reporting, providing an analysis of operating results as compared to budget and outlook.
· Interface and provide operational support to internal, regional, and global management, including sales and marketing operations.
· Develop annual budgets and update monthly outlook by understanding the sales forecast to collect data and conduct studies, current and historical, to determine each entities cost, such as raw material purchases, inventory, labor efficiency, operational costs, etc.
· Manage and control daily cash activities to include A/R, A/P, plant purchase orders, and tracking of capital expenditures. Monitor inventories providing management team with areas that require review. This position is also responsible for directing and coordination of physical inventories.
· Review and analyze computer software system to assure accuracy and integrity of the general ledger and integrated modules.
· Train and develop support personnel, develop and implement new processes and procedures. Assure that business policies, proper controls, and best financial practices are being followed within Global policy guidelines, being supported through internal/external audits.
Key Qualifications Skills:
· BS in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 10 years manufacturing accounting experience –
· CPA highly preferred
· MBA preferred
· Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise an Accounting/Finance department.
· Strong knowledge of cost accounting practices and variance analysis.
