To be considered for this opportunity, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
7-10 years of experience in performing accounting, auditing, audit liaison, and financial management tasks for government organizations, preferably with the Department of Defense
BA/BS degree in Accounting
Advanced degree in Accounting or Auditing, an MBA, or a CPA is desirable
General knowledge of federal Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Ability to research FASAB and GAAP issues
Provide recommendations and working knowledge of USSGL
Ability to document and assess accounting processes and cycles; write and implement new policies
Develop financial standard operating procedures
Experience with meeting the requirements of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-123; assessing internal controls over financial reporting
Strong written and oral communication skills
Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, and Visio)
