Senior Financial Analyst - Plymouth, MN
 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Forecast, budget and manage capital program spending

  • Work with program teams to identify benefits

  • Work with program teams to prepare documents for approval to spend

  • Work cross-functionally with IT leadership to reach divisions 3-year capital targets

  • Work with UCMG CRAG analysts to support capital projects CBA/CPR

  • Participating on special projects

  • Producing monthly and ad hoc reports, variance analyses, financial modeling and any supporting schedules


Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance

  • 2-4 years of general accounting experience in IT industry or public accounting

  • 2-4 years of proven technical experience in accounting and financial analysis practices and principles

  • 2+ years  of experience developing new and improving existing procedures, policies and ensure compliance with approved standards

  • Intermediate skill level with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in ledger reporting systems and Hyperion Essbase is desirable

  • PeopleSoft experience strongly preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to interact and develop effective working relationship across organizational lines

  • Detail oriented

  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities, deadlines and changing priorities

  • Individual must possess a high level of initiative, be a self-starter, self-directed, highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work independently as well as a team member
