We are currently looking for a Senior Financial Consultant - IBM Cognos TM1 Developer - Operations & Systems Finance. Please read on for more details regarding this position.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
SUMMARY:
Operations & Systems Finance is looking to fill a senior level position responsible for gathering requirements, designing and building complex financial models leveraging IBM Cognos TM1. Job may provide functional advice or training to less experienced financial analyst jobs or may supervise day-to-day unit activities for a function supporting the entire organization. Activities impact the most complex expense and/or systems/operational projects dealing with reports and data management.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Lead the development of IBM Cognos TM1 financial models for Operations & Systems Finance
Lead the analysis of core financial processes including reporting, budgeting/forecasting, variance analysis and charge back modeling to be used to design, build and deploy technical solutions.
Develop materials and conduct end-user training across the organization.
Act as technical resource to less experienced members of the organization.
Recommend and implement solutions for process inefficiencies.
EDUCATION/COURSE OF STUDY:
Typically has a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or management information systems.
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Demonstrated expertise in spreadsheet and financial modeling and reporting tools, specifically IBM Cognos TM1
Significant financial analysis/accounting experience
Solid understanding of the IT Development life cycle
Advanced formal financial education preferred.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Effectively articulates financial/accounting/expense reporting issues to team members, customers, management and external parties
Has the ability to influence a wide variety of co-workers within and across organizations
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Demonstrated expertise in developing financial models using IBM Cognos TM1 software
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, Access, etc.)
OTHER:
Clearly understands how unit relates to the business supported and aligns work to support business goals.
Maintains a positive, achievement-oriented attitude.
Demonstrates initiative and innovation in achieving results.
Anticipates customer ongoing financial needs.
