Based in FMC Corporation’s Princeton area, NJ Research Center this senior level role is based in the Global Innovations Group within the Agricultural Products Division. This Senior Global Segment Manager will initiate cross functional/organizational product development initiatives and provide key support for the overall vision and long-term business strategy for the development of complex platforms for Fungicides or Insecticides. Partnering with the scientific and scouting teams to provide market opportunity assessments, ROI modeling. Respsonsible to make recommendations that will eventually develop technologies with commercial value in the field of agriculture.

Responsibilities:
    * Identifies issues and trends within strategic crop segments as they relate to competitors, crop shifts,  product movement and customer acceptance
    * Assess and valuate global partners, platform technology and new active ingredients making recommendations
    * Identify, monitors and communicate competitors products, product launches and market place acceptance
    * Valuate through financial models opportunities and threats, making recommendations on segment direction
    * Recommend and develop action plans for implementation new APG offerings
    * Influence across sales areas and to understand customer needs and counter competitors reactions
    * Demonstrate leadership role working across functions in APG and maximize results.
    * Participate in the preparation of market/product/segment long range forecasts for budgeting and planning purposes;
    * Maintain and communicate knowledge of rapidly changing marketplace
    * Select, develop and motivate staff to ensure department goals are achieved.
    * Provide guidance/direction to less experienced marketing professionals.
    * Champion new-opportunities through Proof of Concept (POC) evaluation, providing clarity on why to start a new project (value proposition), what is the potential opportunity (market assessment), what needs to be done (POC milestones) and what is the shortest and most efficient way to confirm the value proposition or reject the project (“hooks and flaws”).
    * Establish and drive alignment with-the Business Areas on a preferred list of Active Ingredients to be transformed by new echnologies and incorporated into FMC’s portfolio, maximizing the opportunities for sustainable and profitable growth.
    * Successfully integrate new products, acquired or transformed, into the Business Areas, ensuring a proper communication of the unique selling points and a fast sale ramp-up.
    * Generate and lead initiatives for portfolio expansion by identifying, proposing and gaining support on opportunities for acquisitions, partnerships or licensing of technologies, products and companies.

Required Education:
• BA/BS, MBA/MS in Business, Marketing or Agricultural Science related discipline.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 agricultural chemical industry, 5 years in market research/market analysis experience is required.
• Experience in Monte Carlo modeling, opportunity evaluation and market assessments is desired.
• Working understanding of working in a regulated industry.
• Experience in agricultural products marketplace. Cognizant of worldwide scope (customers and commercialization organizations).
• Expertise in the European market strongly preferred.
• History of introducing profitable new products to the market.
• Strong team building skills, with successful experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Advanced problem-solving skills and project planning/management skills.
• Excellent communication skills; written and oral.
• Ability to work with and effectively influence all levels of management.
• Ability to drive decisions and bring conclusion to issues.
