Job Description
The Mitchell & Titus Human Resources Generalist performs human resources related duties at the professional level and will carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, orientation and on-boarding, performance management, career development, training, compensation, benefits, HRIS and HR administration.
Responsibilities
· Execute the firms strategy by assisting the Director of Human Resources with:
o Planning and administration of HR programs and processes, in the areas of:
§ Workforce planning
§ Employee orientation and on-boarding
§ Performance management, career development, and learning
§ Total rewards, including compensation and benefits
§ Firm culture and environment
o Developing new HR programs and processes to support the firm’s strategy of attracting, growing, motivating and including people, in the areas of:
§ Employee branding
§ Employee engagement
§ Talent management, including competency frameworks
§ Other programs, including areas such as workplace flexibility, service award, corporate responsibility
· Manage HR metric reporting and records management
· In consultation with Director of Human Resources, coach and counsel employees on professional and personal matters and manage employee relations
· Team with Recruitment and assist with firm recruitment efforts
· Liaison with Ernst & Young LLP Americas People Team professionals as needed
Qualifications
To qualify for this excellent recruiting opportunity, candidates must have:
- a Bachelor's degree preferably in human resource management or related field
- 4 to 6 years of human resource generalist
- experience preferably from within a fast-paced professional services or financial services environment
- working knowledge of employment law and major HR functions
- have an understanding of change management principles
- exceptional customer service, teaming, consultative and strategic thinking skills
- is a self-starter and will roll ups sleeves
- ability to travel 10 to 20% (e.g., day trips to other office locations once or twice a month, training, and firm meetings)
