The candidate will research the health & hygiene impact from the manufacture of carbon-based products. This includes investigating potentially hazardous conditions in the plant, and studying the health & hygiene aspects of new raw materials that may be used in the manufacturing process, equipment/process conditions, and the finished product. The candidate will know how to calibrate and use standard testing equipment/instruments. Appropriate recommendations will be made regarding the health & hygiene issues of the manufacturing process and facility and related procedures will be developed and implemented. Finally, overseeing compliance with health regulations will be required.
Carbonyx is a material science company that has developed a process for manufacturing carbon alloys with applications in the steel making industry. It is based in Plano, TX and has a commerecial demonstration plant in Ardmore, OK. The candidate may need to be based at either location.
