Title: Senior Business  Analyst

The business analyst is responsible for design, development and implementation of new enhancements and tools in the hedge fund administrator environment. Will serves as a self-contained design & development team, interacting as necessary with all units (Ops, Pricing, Back Office, IR, Connectivity, Risk, etc).  As a source of  data & processing knowledge, the group manages client data load/extraction projects, designs a wide range of tactical tools for extending our business offerings and develops new business logic & reports to extend the business platform.

Senior Business Analyst will act as the point person on the new Allocator Models, supporting our developer/analysts with critical subject matter expertise, modelling/schema designs, data analysis and project management.  These efforts are to transition company’s  more complex investor allocations from spreadsheets to the newly-developed Access database architectures, a primary focus of the group, but the role will involve participation in other business services projects as well. 

Candidate must have experience with allocation and/or accounting logic and also a expert-level comfort with technology tools, data modeling techniques and even programming concepts.  The position is most suited to a fast learner with an excellent ability to digest & understand new material.  Should also be comfortable working in small teams in an unstructured work environment, and with excellent written and oral skills.

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience with investor allocations from a fund accounting perspective  (ie. expert level)
  
• 5+ years experience with Access databases and/or complex Excel models  (ie. expert level)
  
• Proven abilities with complex, technical/logic problem-solving
  
• Familiarity/comfort with data modeling techniques and approaches.
  
• Excellent project planning, communication and presentation skills
